Big Sunday For Laura

A Hinckley teenager is due to hit the stage at Leicester's Summer Sundae this month.

Laura Musgrave, 19, was among the talent in last year's One Big Sunday event but has graduated this year to the Summer Sundae Musician Acoustic stage, billed alongside acts such as Air, Super Furry Animals, Easyworld and Amy Winehouse. She is studying for a degree in Music Composition & Technology.

Her festival appearance has prompted mentions on the BBC website (BBC 6 radio is due to broadcast the festival), London's XFM radio website and in the NME.

Laura will be performing tracks from her forthcoming album "Sixes And Sevens" on the last day of the festival - Sunday August 15. Her first proper recording, Sparking, was released in March 2003 on Second Thought Records, a follow up to her demo recording Beneath My Skin, released in 2001.

Laura will also be making an exclusive appearance as part of the Acoustic Collective at The Musician venue in Leicester on Wednesday August 18.
